Wave and Break #1

A study of the turning tide.

This piece is a horizontal cross-cut of a cresting wave, captured in stone and glass. Faceted aqua Czech glass represents the deep ocean, flowing into a "froth" of sky blue dolomite and natural mussel shell. At the center, sunset dolomite provides the deep shadow found only as a wave curls over itself.

Hand-tied into natural hemp cord, this artifact is a structural map of the water’s edge—layered, intentional, and shaped by the sea.
